Quality Control Engineer, QC / GMP

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pre-shipment quality control across the Group's product portfolio, covering critical checkpoints from raw materials to semi-finished and finished goods.
• Maintain the GMP plant's quality management system, ensuring day-to-day operations remain compliant and continuously improved.
• Coordinate with the Kyoto Institute to keep formulation-side and production-side quality standards aligned.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective action design and follow-up for quality incidents.
• Manage external certification audits in-house rather than delegating them to third parties.
• Prepare monthly quality reports that maintain transparency for internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

Required

• Academic background in chemistry, food science, pharmaceuticals or quasi-drugs.
• 3+ years of experience in QC or QA roles.
• Working knowledge of GMP, ISO and related quality management systems.
• Working proficiency in Japanese.

Preferred

• Industry experience in cosmetics or quasi-drugs.
• Hands-on experience handling quality crisis events.
