Maison Bijin · Brand Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and annual execution of the Maison Bijin prestige skincare brand.
• Manage the product line in cadence with the Kyoto Institute's R&D rhythm, without compromising scientific progress for launch timing.
• Coordinate across channels including the Ginza flagship store, prestige department store counters and the Group's own e-commerce.
• Build the brand narrative across generations, preserving Maison Bijin's language and codes rather than chasing passing trends.
• Collaborate with the design team to establish a Maison Bijin visual identity that carries through across generations.
• Lead the external release of the Maison Bijin annual brand report.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree or above in marketing, brand management, business or a related field.
• 5+ years of brand management experience in prestige beauty, luxury or upscale retail.
• Fluency in Japanese or English; reading and writing ability in both is a plus.
• A clear understanding of long-term brand building, beyond evaluating brand purely on short-term ROI.

Preferred

• Experience working with family brands or long-heritage houses.
• Genuine appreciation of Japanese aesthetics and sustained interest in Kyoto culture.

Brand building here moves by generations rather than by quarters — which means a brand manager's judgement should not be steered by traffic-driven narratives, but should return to the product itself and to the brand's long-term story.

This role works continuously with the Kyoto Institute, retail expansion and the design team, finding the brand's own rhythm within the Group's broader cadence.
